Tracey, an accredited kindergarten teacher, has been developing early childhood curriculum for more than 15 years. During the past five years she has partnered with preschools and child development centers to improve the quality of their programs in an effort to build a bridge from the preschool years to kindergarten.
She has also served as an advocate for advancing student achievement in public schools while involving parents in decisions related to the education of their very young children, and has served as an adjunct professor for the master’s degree program at Charleston Southern University.
She is an experienced presenter of the latest brain and early childhood research, and has been certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, the highest certification a teacher can achieve.
Her interests include independent research and the development of educational tools as a way to give back to the world community. She is truly motivated by sharing the power of teaching with others. Her proudest accomplishment to date lies in her role as the mother of a precious three-year-old boy who began reading at age two and displays a gentle nature, observant mind, and love for learning.
"My purpose in life is to be a mentor," she says. "I want to share my life and knowledge with every parent who wants the best outcome for his or her child. I’m that parent’s friend, mentor, and fan!"
Prior to teaching kindergarten, Tracey was a dance and gymnastics instructor, working to develop fit bodies and healthy minds in very young children. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
